Artwork Inspiration for Ashridge

Sian Storey’s majestic Tudor horse is inspired by Ashridge House’s most famous resident, King Henry VIII. From the start of his reign, gifting a horse was a surefire way to win favour with the King, as royal horses symbolised strength and power. Sian’s design celebrates Ashridge House’s Tudor heritage and its magnificent grounds, incorporating elements of Tudor embellishment and the opulence of this once royal residence.
